Tigers' fans brave snow to see safe standing

January 2012. On one of the coldest mornings of the year, with snow covering the fields alongside the roads heading into Hull, the roadshow crew and a hardy group of Hull City fans battled against frostbite (OK, so I'm exagerating a bit ... but only a bit!) to set up the roadshow outside of the KC Stadium ahead of the Tigers' home game against Bristol City (good planning on my part, eh?!).

All who stopped to look at the roadshow - including club mascot Roary - were very supportive. BBC Radio Humberside came along and did an interview and Tigers' fan and FSF member Chris Cooper undertook a detailed survey, which he repeated at Hull City's next away match. The results, which have been forwarded to the football club and the council, make interesting reading and present a compelling argument for the introduction of safe standing areas. The results can be read in full here.
