Wolves to install rail seats

Almost precisely 8 years since the Safe Standing Roadshow went to Molineux for its first ever public appearance, Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced their intention to install rail seats.

Some 5,000 of them will replace all of the existing seats in the Sir Jack Hayward Stand, also known as the South Bank.

The move makes Wolves the first Premier League to retrofit rail seats and also the first club anywhere in the UK to convert an entire stand to this new form of seating.

The installation is due to be completed in time for the start of the 2019/20 season.
